Theresa Weber's CHAOSMOS Museum Exhibition

Theresa Weber has created an expansive, organic landscape for the art museum's spacious exhibition spaces - inspired by theoretical concepts of cosmology, chaos theory and creolization. Mythological deities and references to the Caribbean carnival permeate Theresa Weber's polyphonic works, gathering and intertwining ideas of bodies and hybrid identities. Theresa Weber underlines the state of life in a complex, chaotic world. In addition to existing groups of works by the artist and loans from private collectors, Theresa Weber has created over a dozen new works for the exhibition. Textile sculptures and images modeled with silicone combine to form a cosmos of infinite relationships.

The exhibition is supported by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation and the city of Bochum.
